Chicken Caesar Wrap — Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups chopped romaine
- 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced
- 1/4 cup shaved parmesan
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
- Croutons, crushed (optional)
Instructions
- Toss the romaine with the Caesar dressing until evenly coated.
- Lay a tortilla flat and layer the dressed lettuce, sliced chicken, parmesan, and crushed croutons down the center.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly from the bottom up.
- Slice in half on a diagonal to serve.
Why Dress the Lettuce Before Wrapping
Tossing the romaine in dressing first, rather than drizzling it on top, coats every leaf evenly and keeps the wrap from being soggy in one spot and dry in another.
Keeping the Wrap From Falling Apart
A tight first roll from the bottom, with the sides tucked in before rolling, is what holds everything together through the first bite instead of spilling out the end.
Chicken Caesar Wrap FAQ
Can I use rotisserie chicken instead?
Yes, shredded or sliced rotisserie chicken works well and saves time.
Can I make this ahead for meal prep?
Assemble it a few hours ahead and wrap tightly in foil; for longer storage, keep the dressing separate until ready to eat.
What can I use instead of a tortilla?
A large lettuce leaf works for a low-carb version.
